Search engines, like Google & Bing want to direct internet users to websites and content that is relevant to them and what they're searching for online. So before you start with your website, it is important to do keyword research to determine which words consumers are typing to search for your products or services. The first step is to ask yourself the following questions:
1. What is this page about? Is this page to showcase a product, a service, or both? When you know what the main topic of the page is and what information you'll include, you'll have less difficulty in determining the keywords you'll need to target on that page.
2. What is the main goal of the page? Is it to make an online purchase via your website? To submit an inquiry form? Once the page's main intent has been established, you'll start to focus on more relevant keywords.
